attuned

Being aware of, sensitive to, or in harmony with something.

Examples:

  1. She is attuned to her baby’s needs, so she knows when he is hungry or tired.

  2. He is attuned to the latest fashion trends.

dexterity

 /dekˈster.ə.t̬i/

noun

Skill and ease in using your hands, body, or mind.

Examples:

  • She showed great dexterity while knitting the sweater.

  • His mental dexterity helped him solve the puzzle quickly.

haggle

ˈhæɡ.əl/

verb

To bargain or argue over a price to get a better deal.

Examples:

  1. They haggled with the vendor to lower the price of the bag.

  2. He tried to haggle for a discount on the car.

paradox

 /ˈper.ə.dɑːks/

noun

A statement or situation that seems to contradict itself but may still be true.

Examples:

  1. “Less is more” is a paradox because having less can sometimes mean more value.

  2. It’s a paradox that the more we learn, the more we realize how little we know.

swamped

 /swɑːmp/

noun

A wet, muddy area of land.

verb

To overwhelm with too much work or things to handle.

Examples:

  1. The frogs live in a swamp near the forest.
  2. I was swamped with homework last night.
