Every time I move, I leave something behind.
I am an ordinary person who’s curious about almost everything. And now, at the age of 26, my mission in life is to document the things that interest me before they become blurry in my mind.
I want my experiences, whether it’s travel, talking to people, reading a book, watching a movie, or even the stories I’ve overheard, to be preserved. These are the records of who I was on that particular day. Together, they become an archive of how I saw the world during that time, and a reminder to myself that it was the best work I could do with the knowledge, experience, and resources I had on that day.
I want to document and preserve the things I learned from my adventures because it terrifies me to think that there will be no proof of my existence.
For everything I want in life, I have to start from scratch. This path can be lonely and scary at times. And I know someone out there is walking a similar path alone, an adventurer who is waiting for a signal flare.
I hope these pages become your first map and the trails I’ve mapped make your adventure a little easier than mine was.
Have you ever stood at a crossroads alone? You see the mountain. It is your destination, but when you look around, there’s no guide to help you reach the peak.
I have been there many times. So many times that I could no longer count.
Sometimes it takes a lot of bravery to ask a stranger, and sometimes it takes forty tabs to find the answer. But there are nights when there is no answer.
And that’s why I created Rootless Juanderer. This is the place where my curiosity becomes a map. The things that I learned from my adventures have become a guide for the next person.
Everything that I publish here is created with care, with the honesty of an amateur.
I leave it where people can find it. I trust that the work will find the people who need it.
